The tour kicks off around 10:00 AM with a semi-private VAN picking you up from your centrally located hotel in Montevideo. Should you opt to reach the winery independently, the experience commences at 11:00 AM.
Upon arrival at Bodega Bouza, situated approximately 20 kilometers from Montevideo, you will embark on a guided tour of the vineyards and the winery. During this tour, you will gain insights into the history of this family business and the wine production process. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to admire the Bouza family’s classic car collection.
Next, after roughly 45 minutes, you will partake in a tasting of 4 selected wines: a glass of Bouza Chardonnay, a glass of Parcela Unica Merlot, a glass of Monte Vide Eu, and a glass of Bouza Tannat. These will be expertly paired with a selection of snacks designed to complement the wines perfectly.
Once the tasting concludes, we will proceed to the winery’s restaurant for a 3-course paired lunch. Here, you will choose from 4 options for your starter, main course, and dessert, with the opportunity to receive recommendations and pairing suggestions for your chosen dishes.
For those seeking an even richer experience, there is an option to indulge in a 7-course menu instead of 3. This allows you to savor the finest seven dishes on the menu paired with seven of the winery’s top wines, including the "grappa" pomace distillate and Gin Bo-Bo. Each dish is meticulously crafted to achieve the best pairing with each wine.
After a leisurely lunch, lasting about an hour and a half, this comprehensive experience at Bodega Bouza will conclude. If you opted for the semi-private transfer, it will conveniently return you to your downtown Montevideo hotel.
